Description: A wonderfully charming pair of vintage terracotta jack-o’-lanterns by Hewell’s Pottery of Gillsville, Georgia. Each pumpkin is handmade from warm, unglazed terracotta and features a hand-cut jack-o’-lantern face topped with a removable lid.
Hewell’s Pottery comes from a long tradition of Georgia folk pottery, with the Hewell family producing pottery in the Gillsville area for generations. The pottery is especially known for its handmade terracotta wares crafted from locally sourced Georgia clay.
Condition: Good vintage condition with age-appropriate surface wear and variation inherent to handmade terracotta. The larger pumpkin has a chip to the lid, as shown. Otherwise, both present beautifully.
