Pietra Dura 800 Silver Pendant & Brooch

A beautiful pietra dura pendant and brooch, featuring a delicate floral motif created from individually cut and inlaid pieces of colorful stone set against a deep black background. The oval centerpiece is surrounded by ornate 800 silver filigree, giving the piece an intricate and romantic appearance.

Pietra dura, Italian for “hard stone,” is a traditional decorative art in which carefully cut pieces of colored and semi-precious stone are fitted together to create detailed pictorial designs. The technique is especially associated with Florence, Italy, and commonly features botanical, floral, and bird motifs.

This versatile piece features both a pendant bail and pin closure on the reverse, allowing it to be worn as either a necklace pendant or brooch.
